ROOTS is the center of Deaf Camp, connecting MiNi with Teen Deaf Summit. Deaf Camp ROOTS is for children aged 6 to 13 years old, designed for Deaf, hard-of-hearing, oral students, siblings, and hearing children with Deaf parents.
ROOTS is an immersive day camp experience that helps students improve their communication skills through learning ASL, problem-solving, and team building while having fun all summer long for 7 weeks! Each day of ROOTS is structured to create an age-appropriate, enriching educational adventure. Three days during the week will include problem solving, team building, learning safety, and creating visual stories, and two days will include field trips to fun local places and a field or water day where we will be outside with a variety of game activities.
ROOTS is a day camp, Monday through Fridays. This is not an overnight camp.
